I am an environmental biogeochemist with a broad research interest in soil organic matter dynamics and greenhouse gas emissions from natural and managed systems. My research works include both empirical studies and process-based modeling. I use biogeochemical models to evaluate the fate of soil (and ecosystem) carbon (and nutrient) in the face of climate change in systems ranging from the tropics and subtropics to temperate and boreal transition forests.
I received the prestigious Gene E. Likens Award from the Biogeosciences section of the Ecological Society of America in 2018 and Best Student Authored Paper Award from Soil Ecology Society in 2019 for my research products. My research has also been highlighted in Nature Climate Change and the special issue for the 25th anniversary of Global Change Biology. Addressing cutting-edge research questions on pressing environmental issues like climate change and sustainability using multi-scale and multi-disciplinary approaches always keeps me going.
